Had a good day

Went out to a nature reserve / tourist spot today, felt a bit odd going to a tourist place when I live here, but it was nice.

Was a place where you can feed the wild birds, they come right up to you and land on your arms, shoulders, even your head :)

Was fun :)

I got a few nice photos too.

The birds were lovely.

But one bloody big cockatoo thought he'd be smart and bite me so I drop the seeds Im holding on to... but no, Im used to be bitten by a german shepherd, so this dang cockatoo was nothing, I just flicked him away when he finally let go of me.

Still have a red mark on my thumb from where he bit me though.

N that was a good 7hrs ago.


N when I say "Im used to be bitten by a german shepherd", its when playing, my puppy is in no way aggressive, I wouldnt put up with it. He's like a giant lap-dog that gets over excited and playful sometimes... and has big teeth...

Breyer Model

I bought my first Breyer model today :) From eBay and in America, so it will take a while to come.. but Im still happy :D

Its the Keltec Salinaro model, I love that gelding :D

Been feeling a bit depressed lately, my crazy pills dont work as well as they used to : /

But oh well, Im thinking of buying a couple more Bettas, I think Im getting a little obsessed with em :P Theyre so pretty :)

Lets talk about the weather

Bloody rain!

Its been pouring down since day before last, and the power has gone out a few times. I dont mind rain, its the cold I dont like, and oddly enough I dont like the heat either..

Anyway, Im sick of rain, and Im very sick of having to keep all the animals inside because of it. They all follow me around like my shadow, and if theyre not with me, theyre sooking.

Im starting to read a bit more now though, Im reading 'The Dark' by James Herbert, so far its awesome :P I like this author, not as much as Anne Rice, but still awesome :P

Im also doing another A3 traditional piece, this time of a wolf for a friend, so far Im really happy with it :P

Party

Went to a party last night, havent been to one in months.. Ive become rather unsocial lately.

The party was fun, didnt drink as much as usual, which is good. There was a shite-load of bubble wrap around, just for the hell-of-it.. twas cool.

Caught up with a few people I havent seen for ages.

The cat killed one of my fish.

My first Betta Fish I dubbed 'Fella'.

He' staying outside for a few days now.

Though I doubt he'll care, nice weather, so its not much a punishment.

I have mixed feelings about this, I really liked Fella, but he was still a fish.. so Im upset, but not...

Lovely day

Ive had a lovely day.

Slept till twelve, went out to a shopping center with mother to look around a bit, I bought some books and a scarf :P Then went to the hospital to visit my grandma aka. Babi, then came back home to go over and see the awesome neighbors accross the road who breed the staffies.

Ive been thinking of ohter dog breeds I can get into breeding, because German Shepherds are everywhere it seems.. but I dont know. I just love them! I dont think I really could own any other breed..

Possibly dobermans, but I dont really like their build. I like the solid looking dogs with thick fur and kind, strong intelligent faces :P

All the things a german shepherd is. But only the working lines or german lines, I really dont like the american show lines... too thin and ... iik :o

My damned brother Satan is being exceptionally annoying today. He's just constantly yelling and hooting and just being so damn rude and spoilt..

Siren

The town fire siren is going off. Hopefully just  a false alarm..

I live in a small-ish town, surrounded by bush. Bushfires are a problem.

Earlier this year there was Black Saturday, one of the major fires there was only 13km away from my house.

Apparently this year the fire threat will be worse.

High temperatures and massive winds, not so good for anyone living in the bush :(

The siren has stopped now, it goes off quite frequently, but I know that when the weather warms up, Ill be having a heart attack every time I hear it, in fear of a fire being close again...

Mouse hunt pt.2

This time Kitty caught a mouse, another little one.

Ive become a bit obsessed with the mouse hunt. Every time I go into the living room, and I see the vent, I get paranoid about the mice somewhere in it.

Thankfully our cats are good at what they do.

Billy can only catch them when theyre out of the vent, cause of his boof-head wont fir in, but kitty can crawl right in there..

Ahhh the amusement.

Dog breeding

Been looking again for german shepherd pups.

Ive givin my horse search a break until I learn more.

But Ive been wanting to start breeding german shepherds for a while now, and I have friends who breed english staffies who are willing to mentor me.

There are a lot of real nice looking working line ones.

I prefer the solid darker/red ones than the showline black/tan thin ones.

Idealy Id like to import one straight from germany, but I think I might just start a little smaller than that.. :)

I also think that I will have trouble trying to convince the breeders to give me a female to be used for breeding.. in my experience, theyre snobby bastards. But Thats where my staffy breeder friends come in, they said that they could call and explain what I plan to do and hopefully give the GSD breeders more confidence in me.

Well anyway, Ill keep looking, I dont have any money now, but I will soon.

I gotta sleep, its past 2am already ^^"

Mouse hunt

My cat Billy caught a mouse tonight.

Sort of freaked me out because I had no idea we even had mice in the house.

Thank god we have cats to keep away the mice and evil spirts.

Theyre now hunting around for the rest of them, for the one he caught was young, so their must be more around.

Theyre really interested in a heating vent in the dining room.

I hope they get them all.

New riding centre

Had a proper riding lesson today. With a qualified instructor at a different centre to the last.

After having this lesson, I really do not like the other centre. Not only was I being taught by a girl younger than me, but she didnt teach me anything.. even taught me a few wrong things.

She kept telling me to kick the horse, harder and harder until he moved.. I didnt like doing that at all.. she didnt say anything about just tightening your legs on them.. dunno how to say.. all she said was 'kick him' ....

Also I was just thrown on a horse in an arena, I know the horse was very quiet.. but still, I liked how at the new place the instructor had me walk around with the horse for a while, and told me about what to do on her and how to stop/start etc. then had her on a lunge line when I mounted, which was good, then halfway through the lesson, I was taken off the lunge line.. but not before practicing the rising trot, stop, start, posture etc.

The new place was good. I learnt a hell of a lot.

Especially with the rising trot, the other girl just said 'stand up and sit down as he trots, and keep doing that'.. the better instructor told me how to stand, made sure I could do it ... twas harder than I thought when standing still.. and told me that you really stand forward rather than straight up, bend knees etc.

Twas good.

But Im in pain from it.. and veeeery sleep deprived, Ive been out of the house all day. First to pick up a artist-desk thing, really just a slanted desk so I dont have to lean over my work when I draw, my back is really hurting from doing that.. then t wait at centerlink to fill out damn forms, I hate centerlink.. then to the hospital to see my grandmother, who I call Babi cause we're czech .. she was in a car accident, a few broken bones.. I hope she will be okay, Im sure she will be.. then back home in time for the riding lesson..

Been a long day.

And I hurt.

And I know its only going to be worse tomorrow...

Traditional Art Hates Me

For the better part of last night and today I have been working on a picture tat I foolishly decided to colour with pencils... *le sigh* This isnt my worst traditional piece, but still, for the hours I spent on it, Im a bit disappointed.

I dunno, Im a bit proud of it.. mostly the lineart though, its something new to draw for me, so Im proud I made it relatively good looking..

New riding place - poor puppy

Ive decided to get lessons at another centre, the last place I went to wasnt quite what I wanted.. but I believe I have found another that is worth looking at. I have a lesson on wednesday

I want to learn how to take care of a horse, grooming, putting on and taking off tack, general horse health and of course how to ride properly.. and one day Id like to explore jumping and dressage, but not until I have basics learnt XD

My soreness from my last ride has finally gone, yays :D

I havent been doing much else, mother is all stressed out as usual, and it seems my job to calm her. Satan is being Satan-ish. And my dogs are being major sooks as always.

Mojo seems really depressed lately.. not his usual Hyper self.. he's sleeping a lot, but he still looks healthy and is not sore anywhere.. mybe he's just being lazy and waiting for the weather to get better so he ca go out more..

I still really need a job, and to learn how to drive.. but all I want to do is draw! Its horrible :(

I feel old

I have such crappy joints and back.. right now my back is kiiilling me, it hurts so damn much D: Ive been drawing a lot lately, and because I have a flat desk, not a slanted one, I tend to lean over my work, which hurts...

*sigh* Time to look on ebay for a artists desk.

Also my brother, aka. Satan, lost his first tooth today, hurray for him.

Also, is AUS$60 too much to be paying for riding lessons? Theyre an hour long at a great facility.. but I dunno..
